Lynch Winners: "More stuff I gotta do..."
posted @1:34 p.m. by Richard Kelly
The winning entries pulled from my Magic Lynchian Hat of Movies & Mystery were TBD readers Ian Yates, Charlie Lyne, and Mick Millard. Well done, gentleman, books and DVDs on the way to you. And there will be copies of Mulholland Drive going to a few runners-up too. Reading all the entries together was neat, as Lynch might say. I was surprised more people didn't plump for one of the many shafts of wit deployed by Bobby Peru (Willem Dafoe) in Wild at Heart. My personal favourite, also unrepresented in this poll, happens to be Harry Dean Stanton's grousing trailer park attendant in Fire Walk With Me, only happy when he's got his 'cup of Good Morning America.' But above all one finds oneself thinking - where does Lynch get this stuff from?

Rockin' Good News Reminder: Free David Lynch Goodies Up For Grabs
posted @12:38 p.m. by Richard Kelly
So, Henry, what do you know? What is your favourite line of dialogue from the beautiful, wild, mixed-up world of David Lynch?
We ask because we have three prize packages to give away, consisting of DVDs of INLAND EMPIRE, the 2-Disc Special Edition of MULHOLLAND DRIVE, and a copy of Faber and Faber’s definitive interview book LYNCH ON LYNCH, edited by Chris Rodley.
To enter the prize draw, simply email to webmaster@faber.co.uk your favourite line of dialogue from a Lynch movie, along with a line or two explaining why you feel your choice is so damned fine/weird/unnerving/beyond reason. Please include your email address and contact phone number.
Deadline for entries is DECEMBER 15 2007, so as to beat the Christmas post. Sending disks by mail these days can be a perilous thing...
